The 5 Best Places in Charleston to Propose
Charleston is made of beautiful places, which makes it easy to find a photo-worthy spot to ask the love of your life to be yours forever.
Here are a few of my favorites.
I love the Battery because it's picturesque and right on the water. It's easy to get a clear shot, as a photographer, but it's right next to White Point Gardens which makes for a great backdrop for engagement photos.
White Point Gardens
The gazebo in White Point Gardens is another picture-perfect spot to propose. It's scenic and beautiful, but also easy to be alone and away from tourists.
This is Charleston's most iconic street and therefore, if you want the most Charleston proposal possible, this is your spot! It's just a few blocks from the water, so after you propose, you can continue with engagement photos.
The Pineapple Fountain
Charleston is known for it's pineapple decor, so why not pop the question at the iconic Pineapple Fountain. This one is trickier to get the perfect shot, as it's usually swimming with tourists, especially during the summer months. But if you give your photographer enough time, he or she can try to shoo away ambling tourists.
If you're looking for that old-world Charleston vibe, Chalmers is your street. The original cobblestone makes this the oldest street in Charleston. It's lined with beautiful homes that make for the perfect backdrop of your romantic proposal.
